Start Here: What Is Soto Systems Lab?

An operator's field guide for designing, mapping, and implementing practical AI & Automation workflows and business systems.

Welcome to Soto Systems Lab.

This site is a practical field guide for operators, builders, and GTM teams who want to build better systems using AI, automation, and modern workflow design.

Why does this site exist?

Most AI content falls into two extremes:

  1. High-level developer hype: Code-heavy tutorials on how to build neural networks or configure complex infrastructures.
  2. Generic prompt advice: "10 prompts that will save you 20 hours a week" (which rarely work in real business environments).

Soto Systems Lab bridges this gap. It focuses on the operator's perspective: mapping workflows, identifying friction, measuring the cost of doing nothing, and selecting the right system—whether that's a dashboard, an automation, a custom tool, or a team of agents.

Our Core Philosophy

We believe that useful AI & Automations starts before the build.

We operate using a strict, results-driven framework:

People ➔ Process ➔ Pain ➔ Measure ➔ Solution ➔ Impact

We do not start with tools. We start with people, workflows, and measurable pain. If you don't understand the process, throwing a prompt at it will only create faster, more automated chaos.

How to use this site:

  • Systems Library: Detailed workflow breakdowns analyzing specific GTM and personal workflows. Every system breakdown uses our exact 6-step framework.
  • Tool Field Notes: Vendor-agnostic notes from a builder's perspective. What tools are actually good at, where they fail, and how they fit into the stack.
  • Skills & Toolkits: Downloadable Claude Skills, prompt builders, checklists, and scoring models you can use in your day-to-day work.
  • Builds: Real, synthetic proof-of-work demos, scripts, and automations showing the framework in action.
